Code of Conduct

Swimmers will:

 

Be on poolside ready to swim at the start of each session. Swimmers who arrive late may not be allowed to swim.

Be expected to wear club hats at the Saturday sessions.

Be expected to participate fully and concentrate on the activities in each session they attend. Swimmers who do not participate may be asked to leave the session.

Be expected to treat each other and the coaches with politeness and respect. Swimmers may be asked to leave the session if they forget to do this.

Be expected to conduct themselves as representatives of the club at competitions and compete with due respect and appreciation for other clubs and competitors.

 

Coaches will:

 

Be on poolside ready to teach at the beginning of each session.

Involve the all the swimmers in their group in all the activities.

Treat all swimmers with politeness and respect. Swimmers who feel that coaches have not done this should speak to the welfare officer.

 

 

Parents will:

 

Ensure that their children arrive in time to be ready on poolside at the beginning of each session.

Ensure that their children have the correct Potters Bar Club uniform for sessions and competitions.

Support the coaches’ decisions in regard to discipline issues for lack of participation, impoliteness or disrespect.

 

 

Should a swimmer or parent have any issue regarding coaching they should contact the club secretary or welfare officer at the earliest opportunity to discuss the matter.
